John Whiteman

Chairman

John has an outstanding track record of success in funds management and private investment management.

Based in Sydney, John has spent a successful career investing in Australian equities with a significant period at AMP Capital where he held several roles including Portfolio Manager for the $4bn AMP Capital Fund.

In 2006 John set up the Ex-50 Funds at Northcape Capital, where he was a director and shareholder of the business which now manages over $10bn in capital.  With his partners at Northcape, John built a highly success private funds management business before stepping down in 2018.

John leads the Board of Leyton Funds where his experience is an invaluable resource for the management team, assisting to deliver the strategic direction, corporate strategy and governance of the business.

Warwick Mittiga

Managing Director

With almost 20 years’ of property experience in both Australia and the UK, Warwick brings a diverse set of skills to the management of Leyton Funds.

Warwick has a broad range of property experience covering investment, development, funds management and business administration in both Australia and London.

Warwick has worked for some of the largest global real estate businesses including Brookfield Properties and held senior positions in the global investment bank, Babcock & Brown.

Warwick manages the daily operations of Leyton Funds and is actively focused on acquisitions, investment mandates, investor relations and growth of the Leyton Funds business.

He is currently a member of the Property Council of Australia’s South Australian Division Council.

Philip Rundle

Director

With more than 30 years’ experience in the commercial property sector, Philip has marketed and sold commercial properties in all industry sectors.

He is one of the highest profile figures in the Adelaide commercial property market, having led CBRE’s Adelaide office for a decade.

Philip has also served as Director, Commercial Developments at Urban Construct, Managing Director and Principal at his own firm Burgess Rawson (SA) Pty Ltd, and a Director at Colliers Jardine.

William Brown

Director

William brings nearly two decades’ commercial real estate and transactional experience to Leyton Funds.

William has represented both local and national private groups and some of Australia’s largest corporate property owners and retailers, handling more than $500 million worth of property transactions in the process.

Hamish Brown

Director

Hamish has spent more than 15 years in the development and real estate industry. He is also the Managing Director of Leyton Property.

Prior to Leyton Funds, Hamish worked with major Property groups including Vicinity (Formerly Colonial First State), Wesfarmers and CBRE working across all markets in Australia.

In this capacity, Hamish was responsible for site identification, site acquisition, financial modelling, feasibility and risk analysis, due diligence and project strategy implementation including design, planning, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery.

Jarrod Eckermann

Director

Jarrod has a diverse background in legal, finance, accounting and conveyancing.

Jarrod is CEO of the Eckermann Group which comprises Eckermann Conveyancers, Eckermann Lawyers and Eckermann Forms.

Jarrod has also worked in senior roles with Last & Co Lawyers, Deloitte Corporate Finance and Edwards Marshall Chartered Accountants.

Warwick Mittiga

Managing Director

Tracy Gornall

Fund Manager

Tracy has more than 25 years experience in the property industry with extensive experience in commercial property valuation, strategic property advisory and development feasibility.

This experience extends across institutional grade office, retail and industrial properties together with masterplanned residential estates and apartment projects.

Tracy holds an Honours in Economics, Finance and Property and Bachelor of Business (Property), both from the University of South Australia, and is a Fellow member of the Australian Property Institute.

Prior to joining Leyton Funds, Tracy was a Senior Director with JLL leading the South Australian commercial valuation team and the National Metro commercial valuation team. Prior to that Tracy held research and valuation positions with Colliers International. Past roles within the property industry include President of the South Australian Division of the Australian Property Institute.

Eamonn Ansell

Fund Manager

Eamonn has extensive national real estate investment management experience across office, retail and industrial asset classes.

At Leyton Funds, Eamonn leads the implementation of asset specific investment strategies to optimise real estate value and enhance investor returns throughout the full life cycle of ownership.

Eamonn holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Property) from the University of South Australia and Post Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance.

Prior to joining Leyton Funds, Eamonn was an Asset Manager at Mirvac in Sydney and later Brisbane, where he managed a portfolio of prime grade office assets. Prior to joining Mirvac, Eamonn was a Director of Property & Asset Management at Jones Lang LaSalle in Melbourne.

Kelly Menzies

CFO

Kelly has a combined 15 years’ experience in corporate financial management across the commercial and residential construction industries.

Kelly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting) from the University of South Australia and brings a wealth of knowledge in financial operations for large real estate businesses including development and investment.

Kelly manages the operational and strategic management of Leyton Funds’ finance function including working closely with external trustees and accountants for each Leyton Funds investment trust.

Prior to joining Leyton Funds, Kelly held senior positions with Rivergum Homes, Badge Construction and Drakes Supermarkets.

Fiona James

Investor Relations Manager

Fiona has extensive corporate communications experience across multiple industries including energy, agriculture, public transport and tourism.

Fiona is the primary liaison between Leyton Funds and its investors. She engages with both current and potential investors while assisting in capital raising for new investments.

Fiona has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications specialising in business communications and public relations from Griffith University.

Before joining Leyton Funds, Fiona was the Group Corporate Communications Manager at Kelsian Group. Prior to that, she held communications positions at Elders and Beach Energy.

Michael Gillett

Development Manager

With over 20 years’ experience in property, specialising in retail across development and asset management, Michael has been integral in bringing to fruition both greenfield and re-developed retail sites across Victoria and South Australia.

Prior to joining Leyton Funds, Michael held senior management roles with Precision Group, Walker Corporation and Stockland. Recent developments include Point Cook Town Centre, Port Adelaide Plaza, and retail hubs at Riverlea and Adelaide Festival Towers.

Leyton Funds believes in the positive impacts of community partnerships, and we are proud to support the following organisations.

Fostering academic achievement and pathways to success beyond school, the scholarship program supports students in the focus areas of sports, arts, economic disadvantage, Aboriginal academic excellence and artistic talent.

Promoting a strong community culture that prides itself on ‘best practice’ on and off the field, the Unley Jets are an Australian rules football club based in Kingswood, South Australia.

Founded in 2019, the foundation supports education, medical research, the arts, and South Australian rural communities.

Impact100 SA brings together at least one hundred members who each donate $1,000 annually. Their contributions are pooled to make high-impact grants to South Australian-based charities or organisations.

Catherine House provides accommodation and support services for women over the age of 18, unaccompanied by children, experiencing homelessness in South Australia.
